Till we meet again

This is week 8! Is it just me or are these weeks seeming to increase in speed.

Thank each one of your for support on posts and comments that furthered my understanding on communication and collaboration.

Thanks for your personal experiences that enriched the quality of the course.

A point of interest from a previous sharing of information. We did a 'Share Your World' event at our little school yesterday, Saturday. With international foods, crafts, books and toys we raised over 17,000RMB (about $2,700) for Coleurs Du Chine (a children's charity in China) in 2 hours. There was so much interconnecting going on. The rooms were alive with chatting, laughter and good-natured joking. And thanks to your compatriots, I was given credit for the idea!

I do hope we can keep each other at least on the back burner. With the way the world is evolving, we could find ourselves sharing actual as well as virtual space someday.

I will be continuing  in 'Teaching and Diversity' and look forward to seeing those of you who share that specialty next week.

To others my personal email is: bobbieholliday@hotmail.com.

Who knows I may figure out blogs and keep with that as well!

AND as Alice has reminded me - we just might physically intersect at graduation!!!!!!

Thank you again and good luck in all its forms!

Bobbie

  1. Bobbie,

I am in group 1 for this course. I wanted to let you know that a facebook page has been set up for our MSECS class if you're interested. It is a closed page so we have to become friends first. I can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=1345675567. Once we become friends, I will send you and invite and then you can invite others you have had classes with. I hope you will consider joining so we can all share ideas beyond graduation!

  3. Bobbie,

Thank you so much for your dedication and commitment to bettering the lives of the children and families in your community. Your fundraising event sounds like it was successful and you may have motivated me to seek a fund raising activity for the Liberty Children's Home in Belize. I was introduced to this home through our EDUC 6005 class. Since then I have maintained contact with the Director of the home and my daughter has become pen pals with two of the little girls in the home.

I am so impressed with the connections I have made in the program and the incredible opportunity to learn from each other. I have really enjoyed and learned so much from your blog and discussion post. I look forward to the future as we maintain virtual contact in hopes of meeting each other face-to-face.

We will stay in touch as you move on to the Teaching and Diversity Specialty and I to the Public Policy and Advocacy Specialty.

    Take good care my friend!
